Children’s Rosh Hashanah Service 2017

Come enjoy a family-oriented service, nature crafts for all ages, story-telling, traditional holiday foods of apples and honey, honeycake, and more! Blow the shofar to welcome the new year and walk over to the Buttermilk creek for the Tashlich ceremony. After the ceremony, we may hike in the gorge.

This event is free and open to the public
(Note: Since the location is at NY state park, there will be an $8 per vehicle parking fee)

Dear Kol Haverim Members and Friends,

Please join us for Rosh Hashanah Evening Service and potluck reception. Humanistic service with live music followed by light refreshments and time for schmoozing! Will Fudeman and David Frumkin (aka Mel and Sol) will once again be providing music.RSVP appreciated to rsvp@kolhaverim.net

For the potluck reception, we ask Kol Haverim members to contribute a dessert or snack. We ask people with last names beginning with letters A-M to please bring a dessert or fruit and those with last names beginning with letters N-Z to please bring a savory snack or finger food. We will provide beverages (and apples, challah, and honey) for everyone to enjoy.

Suggested donation for non-members is $10 per adult or $20 for a family.

Childcare will be available (for children 18 months to 10 years) if requested. To request childcare, please let us know on your RSVP to rsvp@kolhaverim.net by September 15.

As usual, volunteers to help with set-up or clean-up are greatly appreciated. If you have time to come early to help set up chairs or slice apples, or if you can commit to stay afterwards to help with clean-up, please let us know on your RSVP.
